Amy Irving
was born 10th September 1953 in Palo Alto, California. Was married to Steven Spielberg
for four years, and received $100 million when they divorced, thanks to
pre-nuptial agreement. She appeared in classic horror film Carrie in
1976, and reprised her role in the sequel over 20 years later. She was listed as
one of the 12 most promising actors of 1979 in John Willis's Screen World volume
37. In 1983, she was nominated for best supporting actress for her role in
Yenti. She has also had a successful career on Broadway.
